"The correspondence burden is sometimes overwhelming, but I prefer to send personal letters to people, especially those who help in the work and am glad that the way we operate as assembly missionaries does not involve the long detailed filling out of reports on finances which are the burden on many of our fellow missionaries here in Ecuador.  If I have to spend time on reports, I am glad it is in the form of personal letters to share the prayer responsibility of the work with me."

Letter. Paper, typed, 8-1/2" x 11", 2 pages. November 26, 1953. Letter from Peter Fleming to his family in the United States, describing his current activities preparing the Shandia site for purchase as a mission station and catching up on his correspondence, as well as responding to reports of the activities of other family members. From BGC Archives, Collection 657, Box 1, Folder 3.
